Using BTC to tokenize stocks on the IC

Using BTC to tokenize stocks on the ICI've seen BTC being used for pointless defi on the IC, why not give the best use case for ckBTC with tokenized stocks like Ondo is doing? I felt the need to at least bring this up on the forum so maybe someone capable of pulling this off can start thinking about this.
